We spent the day solving bugs. Thank you very much to you, active members of forum, who helped us pointing at what was going wrong. YooRecipe users have lots of different configurations and for the first time, we had some hard time finding out what was going wrong, especially for multiple language sites.

Here are the release notes. We put the bugs fixed section first!

Bugs fixed

• Ingredient units and ingredient groups were not correctly generated for languages other than English, under special circumstances
• Recipe creation in backend was not possible due to possible JS form validation bug
• Shopping lists could not be edited when SEF mode on
• Shopping list item could not be checked in/out in print page
• ajax calls url were rewritten in SEF mode and led to javascript errors
• Language problem solved in ingredients groups and units backend screens
• Facebook share button was displayed in French
• Current menu item is kept when posting a review
• HTML error fixed in frontend form

Evolutions

• Recipe frontend submission form: description and preparation fields downsized
• Evolution: Landing page: added option to display recipes or not
• Evolution: Added a View Full Review link in recipe reviews
• Evolution: Alias field only displayed to admins in frontend submission form
• Evolution: Unvalidated recipes are totally greyed out in my recipes page

Additional info: Community Builder plugin has also been updated (3.8.1) to keep up with 3.8.0+

The whole team and I are proud to announce that YooRecipe 3.8.0 is cooked and ready to use. You can say goodbye to the old recipe page layout some of you have supported for the past 2 years. We decided this page lived enough and needed a brand new design.

We did not expect to release a major version, but Martin, our new lead developer achieved bright things. Here are the release notes:

Bugs fixed

• 500 error fixed when creating menu items
• Duplicates similar recipes were possibly shown in recipe page

• Fixed HTML error in search layout
• User added units were not correctly translated in backend

Please also note that all modules and plugins have been updated. You have to install them again so that they keep up with latest improvements.

YooRecipe 3.7.1 is now available for download. This version fixes all known bugs. Here are the release notes:

• Evolution: Redesigned the template system. You can directly select how many columns you want when displaying recipes in blog mode
• Evolution: Shopping list feature can now be disabled using component options  
• Evolution: uploaded images are prefixed using a timestamp, fixes ipad upload issue
• Evolution: Improved search menu item design
• Evolution: MealPlanner feature can now be disabled using component options

• Bug fixed: Nutritional Values was shown in frontend submission form even if option for Nutritional Facts was disabled
• Bug fixed: Archive page was only showing up only N recipes, where N is your YooRecipe list length. Now shows all recipes
• Bug fixed: Layout option of Landing page menu item was not correctly taken into account
• Bug fixed: Cancelling recipe creation led to error page
• Bug fixed: Categories view: show_title option was not correctly taken into account  
• Bug fixed: JS error when creating recipe from frontend without ingredients

By the way, other extensions have also been updated:

• sh404SEF plugin: added URL rewriting for new menu items (meal planner, shopping list)
• RapidRecipeMigration Tool has been updated to work with YooRecipe 3.5 or above
• mod_yoorecipe_gallery code has been cleaned up, technically speaking

We are already taking care of new set of evolutions and improvements. Stay tuned!

Hurrah. Some of you have been waiting more than 2 years for this feature to be available.

The whole team is proud to announce that starting from today, YooRecipe comes with an in-built Meal Planner. Based on HTML5 drag and drop and full AJAX, your users will now be able to select recipes and plan their meals for the week.

Shopping list feature can be used to generate your grocery list once your meals are planned.

Last but not least, we added a recipe suggestion feature based on technical rules. In other words, similar recipes are now displayed at the bottom of your recipes to improve your Users experiences.
