Associate a Category with a picture

The mystery of Joomla Categories pictures unveiled

We have often been asked how to add a picture to a category. Even if this is pure Joomla, this tip is not widely known. Here is how to proceed.

Steps to follow

  1. Edit a category of your choice.
    Backend > Components > YooRecipe > Categories
  2. Click the Options tab
  3. Select Image field
  4. Save

    I suggest adding the suggested image size and dimension to this page.

      Hi JD,

      Great suggestion, however this page is 100% Joomla core code. Category Picture dimensions can be controlled from Yoorecipe Options in Category options tab.
