YooRecipe End Of Life

Hi,

YooRecipe comes to an end as I do not have time to maintain it anymore. Subscriptions are now closed starting from Sep 27. SUPPORT REMAINS ACTIVE FOR ACTIVE SUBSCRIBERS.

All the best!

Sylvain.

Editor options configuration

This article is not directly related to YooRecipe but about editor integration and configuration. Did you know you could do cool things using editors?

YooRecipe supports (at least) tinyMCE, CK and JCE editors.

The main point of this section is to restrict editor options to prevent your users from getting access to too many options while submitting recipes.

TIP To the best of our knowledge, CKEditor shows more reponsiveness than other editors. On top of that, it is free.

Example with tinyMCE editor

As you must know, editors are plugins. They can be managed from Plugin Manager
Go to Extensions > Plugin manager > select Editor - TinyMCE

Select the Simple functionality, make sure New Lines options is set to paragraphs elements (P elements) and that Prohibited elements filters script, applet and iframe (for security reasons). Save.

TinyMCE editor configuration

Here is an example of what Simple functionality now looks like:

Info Regardless the editor you plan to use, please report to its documentation to make the most of it.
